Request For: Pro Baseball
Request Title: Better CPU Pitcher Cut Logic
Description I'll call it a bug because every season CPU teams cut good young pitching talent.
In MEL alone this year we have seen the following players hit the waiver wire. Theres probably more, too, that I overlooked when busy.
168 S.Fairbanks P 24 6 3 1 2 1 3 10 7 20 R R 100 31 31 -- A A
1230 R.Carroll P 26 5 6 6 2 2 1 8 7 22 R R 50 30 30 -- B B
674 R.Blom P 25r 5 7 4 2 2 3 6 8 21 R R 90 31 31 -- C C
956 W.Tipton P 27 6 5 0 1 3 3 10 5 21 R R 100 31 31 -- B B
908 B.Langer P 26 0 5 2 2 2 4 6 9 19 S L 100 42 0 -- C B
148 G.Anderson P 21r 1 2 0 1 1 3 9 8 16 S L 100 57 0 -- A A

Admin Notes Due to a concern of CPU-run teams cutting young highly-rated players they should not be cutting, I looked into all of the reasons why this could happen. The players specified all appear to have been cut following that CPU-run team's signing of a better player to replace him. However, it seems that age is accounted for in that logic, so no change to the game was made at this time.
.
However, in order to be better able to research into this in the future, I have added a note to the transaction log for each player released from a team that will help understand the rationale for each player being released. I would request that, if this behavior is seen in the future, it be reported via the contact form, which gets to my inbox better. Hopefully the additional information will allow me to better solve the issue.
