Request For: Pro and College Basketball Request Title: Computer too eager to play Box&1 Description I think the computer is a little too eager to go with Box&1 defense. I think a great example of this is CBEL Harvard. The computer has played Box&1 almost every game trying to stop PF Jones. G.Jones PF So 3 1 2 3 9 6 1 15 100 6' 9" However, by focusing so much on Jones, they have made center George the nation's leading scorer: T.George C Sr 1 3 5 5 10 1 7 17 100 6' 5" I understand George is undersized at center, but no real coach would focus on Jones and leave George wide open to score 27 points per game.
