The requirement to put the most talented receivers at the top of the depth chart was the proposed (and subsequently implemented) fix for this. If the "exploit" is to have two WRs more talented than anyone else (and presumably pay them accordingly) but then never use them, that doesn't really seem much of an exploit since a defense that focused on covering the inside WR(s) would be destroyed if the other team passed to the more talented outside WRs.

Red Burley (Jan 23 14:08:04 2025 ): Admin: As I see it, the "exploit" is that one of the CBs is forced to cover a WR that's never going to get the ball thrown to him. Since the sim seems to penalize using any defense other then 2-man, this leaves the defense with a dilemna; either let the slot recievers, now being covered by linebackers, run amok, or else play a defense with more CBs (3-3-5 or such) and let the offense run for 200 yards a game. I also view using exploits like this as unsportsmanlike, but thats just me.
