This game should run as-is in Windows 3.1 or 95/98. No extra files should be needed. Simply create an empty directory, and unzip the .ZIP file into that directory. If you do not have a program that allows unzipping, we recommend PKWARE or WinZip.
We have been told that if you have Norton Utilities running when your run any of these games, the system will slow down. This is apparently a memory conflict or a bug in NU.
To run the game, open an MS-DOS window, go to the directory where the game was installed, and enter the game name (coach, ccoach, manager, etc.). If you create a desktop icon to run the game, ensure that the "working directory" is set; otherwise the game will not be able to locate the data files.
In order to play this game under DOS, you will need a DPMI server. If you already have one installed on your machine, simply create an empty directory on your hard drive and unzip the .ZIP file into the blank directory.
If you do not have a DPMI server, you will need to get one. A free server can be found here. Note that this program is neither written nor supported by DSG; we offer it only as a service to you. To run the game, go to the directory where the game was installed, and enter the game name (coach, ccoach, manager, etc.).
If you download a new version of the game, there are two options for upgrading. First is to unzip the update into the same directory as the previous version. This is recommended if the two versions have the same version number, as the update will be able to use the old data files. If you choose to do this, it is always safest to back up the directory in case the update fails.
The second option is to create a new directory and install the new version into it (as if installing for the first time). If you have purchased the game, you will need to either re-enter the code when prompted, or copy the "register" file from the old directory into the new one.
This product is under no warranty, and is sold as-is. Additionally, DSG cannot be held responsible for any unintended effects that running this software might have on your system. Use of this game implies your agreement to these terms.
