Washington Gets a Big Win Against Brooklyn
Hargrove made 46 points, as Washington got just enough breaks to upset Brooklyn, 107-100. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Brooklyn, showing who was the better team. But Washington came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.
"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged Washington coach Bob. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Hargrove really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."
Washington was led by Hargrove (46 points, 5 boards, 0 assists), Harrington (18 points, 18 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Long (17 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks).
