Denver Beat LA Clippers 4-3, Advance to the CVBL Finals
Denver move on to the CVBL Finals by sending home LA Clippers 4-3. Simmons continued to dominate the league and helped Denver post a 99-91 win over LA Clippers. The game was a solid team effort, but Simmons - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by LA Clippers key player, Jenkins.
Simmons's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Denver fans everywhere." LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Simmons is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Jenkins certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."
Denver was led by Simmons (23 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Davidson (16 points, 6 assists, 5 steals, a block), Stith (11 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a block). LA Clippers was led by Jenkins (23 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Feaster (11 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Williams (6 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal).
