Memphis Comes up Big Over Houston
Maxwell scored 45 points, leading Memphis to a great 108-101 win over Houston. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Memphis coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Houston coach Bob will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Memphis was led by Maxwell (45 points, 2 assists, a block), Huey (5 points, 17 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks), Wright (11 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks). Houston was led by Sims (10 points, 15 boards, 4 assists, a steal, a block), Miller (7 points, 11 assists, 5 steals), Norman (22 points, 1 assists, a block).
