CVBL: New York Beats Odds and LA Clippers

Hollis's great game led New York to a 73-67 upset of LA Clippers. "He really gave us the win," said winning coach Bob. "I think the rest of the team really felt intimidated coming in, but Hollis showed them that we could pull off the win. You could really see the confidence build as time went on."

Arnold paced LA Clippers, but his effort was not enough. "It's easy to blame the star when we come up short," said LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic. "But really, if we all played like him we'd have won. It's just that we sometimes take him for granted and sit around watching him dominate. Today's game served as a wake-up call for the rest of the team."

New York was led by Hollis (14 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, a steal, a block), Frazier (15 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Brumfield (6 points, 0 assists, a steal, 5 blocks). LA Clippers was led by Arnold (11 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals), Quarles (18 points, 1 assists), Minor (9 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block).

New York jump to 20-19 and 12-5 at home with this victory. They stay at #5 in the Atlantic and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference. LA Clippers ended their winning streak at 12 games, and are now 33-8. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference.
