CVBL: Denver Over New Orleans 94-88
Denver beat New Orleans today in a 94-88 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like New Orleans would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Ziegler. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Denver star White leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Denver coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. White was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Denver was led by White (19 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Davis (18 points, 16 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Slayton (8 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block). New Orleans was led by Ziegler (20 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Obryant (14 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block), Smiley (8 points, 1 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks).
Denver stand at 19-20 with the win. They remain at #5 in the Northwest and hold at #10 overall in the Western Conference. With today's defeat, New Orleans drop to 17-21 and 10-11 at home. They remain at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
