CVBL: Bob Satisfied With Cleveland Win
Smith had 42 points today, helping Cleveland to upstage Oklahoma Cty 96-85 in one of the most important games of the season for both teams. Showing more glitter than a Brittany Spears concert, perfect Cleveland execution, a brilliant game by Smith, and impeccable play-calling by Bob provided all the right ingredients for a big win.
Smith was key for Oklahoma Cty, but after the game he looked like somebody had just run over his dog. "I thought we could do it. The whole game I was still thinking we were going to win. I guess that's the difference between thinking it and doing it. Give Cleveland credit - they are nothing but class. I just feel sorry for coach Bob. He had us ready and we let him down."
Cleveland was led by Smith (42 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Bravo (13 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Workman (17 points, 7 boards, 0 assists). Oklahoma Cty was led by Smith (16 points, 4 steals, a block), Pollard (6 points, a steal), Madison (14 points, 1 assists, 3 steals, a block).
Cleveland improve to 21-19 with the win. They remain at #5 in the Central and remain at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. Oklahoma Cty stand at 15-25 and 9-9 at home. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and drop to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
