CVBL: Toronto Does What it Takes to Stun Memphis 100-87

Wright's great game led Toronto to a 100-87 upset of Memphis. "He really gave us the win," said winning coach Bob. "I think the rest of the team really felt intimidated coming in, but Wright showed them that we could pull off the win. You could really see the confidence build as time went on."

Sigler paced Memphis, but his effort was not enough. "It's easy to blame the star when we come up short," said Memphis coach Bob. "But really, if we all played like him we'd have won. It's just that we sometimes take him for granted and sit around watching him dominate. Today's game served as a wake-up call for the rest of the team."

Toronto was led by Wright (10 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals), Murray (19 points, 6 boards, 2 assists), Creer (14 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block). Memphis was led by Sigler (16 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a block), Jensen (17 points, 2 assists), Keeney (7 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals).

Toronto are now 24-17 and 13-7 at home. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Memphis stand at 30-9. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and stay at #2 overall in the Western Conference.
