CVBL: Orlando Gets a Big Win Against Milwaukee

A great outing by Small was enough to offset a superior Milwaukee team and key a 105-98 upset by Orlando. There's no question that Milwaukee is the better team, and even after today's loss they remain ranked ahead of Orlando. But that wasn't important today, when Small took over and carried his team to a win. "What a gift," grinned Orlando coach Bob. "The rest of the team got outplayed, but Small stepped up and got us the win. No complaints, but we'd be surprised to get another win over Milwaukee."

Said losing coach Bob, "What a tough way to lose. It seemed like we had everything under control today. We pretty much did what we wanted, except for Small."

Orlando was led by Small (17 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Rausch (18 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Mack (12 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks). Milwaukee was led by Jaramillo (16 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Reese (27 points), Banks (5 points, 5 assists, a steal, 3 blocks).

Orlando are now 21-19 with the victory. They hold at #3 in the Southeast and stay at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee fall to 29-10 and 13-3 at home with this loss. They hold at #1 in the Central and remain at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference.
