CVBL: Utah All Over Sacramento
A great Utah team and a mediocre Sacramento team met today, the result being an expected 108-79 drubbing. Utah took control from the outset, never appearing troubled in the least. Said Utah coach Coach Young, "We've got a good group of players this year, and they pulled off the win just like we drew it up. Frankly Sacramento isn't exactly tough opposition, but it was still nice to come out with the big win."
Sacramento coach Bob seemed resigned to the loss even before the game, saying "We're just hoping to keep them from running away with it and not look bad. Even that will take a bit of luck; we just don't match up with these guys."
Utah was led by Williams (21 points, 5 assists, a block), Hernandez (26 points, a block), Hill (9 points, 14 boards, 3 assists, a block). Sacramento was led by Gilliam (21 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Townsley (15 points, a steal), Mcadoo (9 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block).
Utah jump to 28-14 and 17-4 at home. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #4 overall in the Western Conference. Sacramento are now 20-22 with the defeat. They fall to #4 in the Pacific and move down to #13 overall in the Western Conference.
