CVBL: Memphis Defeats Utah 92-89
Hayes led Memphis to victory today over Utah in a 92-89 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Coach Young. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Hayes made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Memphis coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Utah were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Hayes and getting the win today."
