CVBL: Detroit Coach Gets Upset over Philadelphia
Detroit got just enough breaks to upset Philadelphia, 86-83. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Philadelphia, showing who was the better team. But Detroit came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.
"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged Detroit coach David Smith. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Newman really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."
