CVBL: LA Clippers Beats Toronto 89-86

Toronto failed to make the most of their chances, coming up short 89-86 against LA Clippers in today's contest. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Toronto coach Bob. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."

LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Bob may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."

LA Clippers was led by Jenkins (24 points, 18 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Newton (6 points, 7 boards, 15 assists, a steal, a block), Wood (18 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block). Toronto was led by Lillard (12 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Price (5 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, a block), Henderson (12 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a steal).

With today's win, LA Clippers improve to 26-15 and 14-2 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #3 overall in the Western Conference. After this defeat, Toronto are now 18-23. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and hold at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
