CVBL: Brooklyn 103, New York 86

Brooklyn overpowered New York today, showing who is the better team. Most around the league expected this kind of result, but New York head coach Bob was defiant until game time. "Underdogs, my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work ahead of us before we can play at their level."

The only bright point for New York was the great play by Brumfield, and Bob was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd have been able to play with Brooklyn. The bright side is that we know what he can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."

Brooklyn was led by Duncan (23 points, 15 boards, 3 assists, a block), Anderson (10 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals), Drew (8 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block). New York was led by Brumfield (25 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Adkins (10 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Gause (6 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a block).

With today's victory, Brooklyn are now 23-18. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and hold at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, New York fall to 21-21 and 15-8 at home. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
