CVBL: Indiana Solves "Curse of Detroit"
Indiana forced overtime today, then defeated Detroit 104-97. "Indiana played a good game today. I have to credit them with that", said Detroit coach David Smith. "They managed to play with us not only through regulation but through overtime. We had chances to put them away but didn't. Fox really played well out there, but it wasn't enough."
Coach Hitch was elated after the game. "We showed the world today that we can play with the best of the best. Nobody gave us a chance going out there. Even our own newspaper writers thought the game was just a waste of time and money."
