CVBL: Denver Upends LA Clippers 100-84
Denver pulled off the surprise 100-84 win over LA Clippers, thanks to a great game by Phillips. "Take away Phillips from this team, and we couldn't have done it," said Denver coach Bob after the game. "He deserves the credit for this win." LA Clippers coach Bob agreed, "We didn't really think Phillips had that kind of game in him after watching the films, but he showed us wrong."
Denver was led by Phillips (24 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, a block), Ferguson (13 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), White (8 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a block). LA Clippers was led by Brown (27 points, 7 boards, 0 assists), Reese (11 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Patrick (8 points, 3 blocks).
With the victory, Denver are now 25-17. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. LA Clippers snapped their winning streak at 6 games, and fall to 30-10 and 16-6 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference.
