CVBL: San Antonio Surprises LA Clippers in Overtime
San Antonio was too much for LA Clippers to handle in their 132-128 overtime win. The upset was a big win for coach Bob and San Antonio. "We played our hearts out today. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen the team give so much effort. Owens was fabulous for us, and we really stepped it up a notch in overtime."
For LA Clippers it was a tough loss. "We really thought we had this one, then we just blew it in overtime", said LA Clippers star Brown. Bob would not comment on the game.
San Antonio was led by Owens (31 points, 5 assists, a steal), Meyers (19 points, 13 boards, 3 assists, a block), Thompson (18 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 4 blocks). LA Clippers was led by Brown (25 points, 16 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Hayes (13 points, 14 assists, 2 steals, a block), Side (21 points, 3 assists).
San Antonio jump to 17-25 with today's victory. They stay at #5 in the Southwest and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference. LA Clippers stand at 29-14 and 15-6 at home. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
