CVBL: Philadelphia Comes up Big Over Chicago
Ziegler led Philadelphia to victory today over Chicago in a 104-94 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Ziegler made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Philadelphia coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Chicago were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Ziegler and getting the win today."
Philadelphia was led by Ziegler (22 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a block), Evans (21 points, 2 assists), Blunt (11 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a block). Chicago was led by Johnson (9 points, 5 boards, 11 assists), Joseph (21 points, 7 boards, 0 assists), Cobbs (10 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal).
After the win, Philadelphia jump to 27-15. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Chicago fall to 18-24 and 13-10 at home. They remain at #3 in the Central and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
