CVBL: Detroit 91, Denver 84

A great game plan and solid execution gave Detroit a 91-84 win over Denver. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Detroit coach David Smith had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said Denver coach Bob. "David Smith had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."

Detroit was led by Delgado (14 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, a block), Henderson (6 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Kay (19 points). Denver was led by Slayton (22 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Davis (9 points, 18 boards, 1 assists), Chopp (11 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks).

After today's victory, Detroit jump to 35-8 and 19-4 at home. They stay at #1 in the Central and hold at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Denver fall to 19-22 with today's defeat. They hold at #5 in the Northwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
