CVBL: Toronto Outplays a Better Houston Team 106-95

A much-improved Toronto team pulled off the 106-95 upset of Houston today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Toronto coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."

Houston was caught off-guard by new-look Toronto. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."

Toronto was led by Wright (6 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, a steal), Reed (9 points, 7 assists, 3 steals), Smith (19 points, 0 assists). Houston was led by Lewis (20 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Sims (6 points, 11 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Battle (18 points, 0 assists, a block).

Toronto stand at 25-17 with today's win. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. After today's loss, Houston drop to 30-11 and 20-2 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference.
