CVBL: Bob Satisfied With Denver Win
Denver played a solid game today, beating New York 113-96. New York players and fans were expecting the game to be a bit closer, but everything went well for Denver today. "It was really frustrating," said New York star Ortega. "I thought we were going to be ready for this game, but we just couldn't do anything against them." Coach Bob seemed perplexed early on, but made a few adjustments late in the game that were too little, too late in this game but may help his side out next time these two teams meet.
Denver was led by Davidson (7 points, 7 boards, 26 assists, 3 steals, a block), Simmons (20 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Stanford (13 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block). New York was led by Ortega (21 points, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block), Knott (15 points, 2 assists), Dixon (14 points, 1 assists, 2 steals).
Denver stand at 29-14 with the win. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and remain at #2 overall in the Western Conference. With the loss, New York drop to 17-27 and 9-13 at home. They remain at #4 in the Atlantic and remain at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
