CVBL: Philadelphia Downs New Orleans
Philadelphia played a solid game today, beating New Orleans 111-97. New Orleans players and fans were expecting the game to be a bit closer, but everything went well for Philadelphia today. "It was really frustrating," said New Orleans star Smiley. "I thought we were going to be ready for this game, but we just couldn't do anything against them." Coach Bob seemed perplexed early on, but made a few adjustments late in the game that were too little, too late in this game but may help his side out next time these two teams meet.
Philadelphia was led by Wilson (5 points, 3 steals), Ferguson (16 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Eatmon (17 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks). New Orleans was led by Smiley (16 points, 9 boards, 1 assists), Ziegler (13 points, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Penny (16 points).
Philadelphia jump to 27-15 and 16-5 at home. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and stay at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the loss, New Orleans drop to 17-23. They remain at #4 in the Southwest and stay at #12 overall in the Western Conference.
