CVBL: New York Outlasts Philadelphia in the Extra Set
New York forced overtime today, then defeated Philadelphia 126-123. "New York played a good game today. I have to credit them with that", said Philadelphia coach Bob. "They managed to play with us not only through regulation but through overtime. We had chances to put them away but didn't. Joseph really played well out there, but it wasn't enough."
Bob was elated after the game. "We showed the world today that we can play with the best of the best. Nobody gave us a chance going out there. Even our own newspaper writers thought the game was just a waste of time and money."
