CVBL: Miami Pulls Out Win Over Portland 113-111
Miami beat Portland today in a 113-111 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Portland would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by King. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Miami star Dupree leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Miami coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Dupree was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Miami was led by Dupree (26 points, a steal), Torres (6 points, 13 assists), Atwood (21 points, 0 assists). Portland was led by King (21 points, 8 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Hume (13 points, 10 assists, 3 steals), Animashaun (23 points, 2 blocks).
Miami have been victorious in the past 7 games and stand at 27-14 and 13-6 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and advance to #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. Portland drop to 25-16 after this defeat. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and move down to #5 overall in the Western Conference.
