CVBL: Miami Takes Out LA Clippers in a Big Win for Bob
A much-improved Miami team pulled off the 97-90 upset of LA Clippers today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Miami coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."
LA Clippers was caught off-guard by new-look Miami. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."
Miami was led by Keeney (30 points, 1 assists), Romero (21 points, 9 boards, 1 assists), Williams (16 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block). LA Clippers was led by Brown (32 points, 13 boards, 2 assists, 5 blocks), Davidson (6 points, 14 assists, a block), Reese (14 points, a steal, 4 blocks).
With today's win, Miami improve to 22-19. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. LA Clippers fall to 30-11 and 16-7 at home with this defeat. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference.
