CVBL: Philadelphia Pulls Out Win Over Toronto 101-95

Philadelphia squeezed out a win today against Toronto, 101-95. Both teams came out of the gates strong but a late game push by Philadelphia was just enough to hold off Toronto. Coach Bob said, "This game is really a sign of things to come. We come out and play hard every night. Things are looking up, and the fans of Philadelphia have a lot to look forward to after this victory."

In the Toronto locker room after the game, players were in a somber mood. Even after the great team performance led by Joyner, they still come up short. "We deserved to win. That was our game - we just need to be able to put our opposition away when we have them down. We really were the better team." said Joyner after the game.

Philadelphia was led by Williams (28 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Williams (12 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a block), Norman (14 points, a steal, a block). Toronto was led by Joyner (10 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Jordan (16 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Burke (11 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, a steal).

Philadelphia improve to 32-8. They remain at #1 in the Atlantic and remain at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Toronto stand at 22-18 and 15-6 at home with today's defeat. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
