CVBL: Indiana Upsets Milwaukee 92-79
Indiana pulled off the upset, beating Milwaukee in a game where nobody gave them much of a chance. Their prospects certainly looked bleak on paper, with most predictions giving Milwaukee a solid win thanks to better skill at most positions. But head coach Coach Hitch came up with a marvelous game plan and kept Milwaukee coach Bob guessing most of the game. This, as well as a number of solid performances by Henderson and others, gave Indiana the edge they needed to come out on top. "I think we caught them by surprise," said Coach Hitch after the game. "They played like they expected the win to be handed to them, but we made some adjustments after studying their tendencies and it paid off."
Indiana was led by Henderson (23 points, 12 boards, 1 assists), Cato (23 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Borenstein (5 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks). Milwaukee was led by Jaramillo (12 points, 2 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Ott (9 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Mcclendon (8 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals).
Indiana keep rolling with a winning streak of 5 games and are now 26-15. They hold at #3 in the Central and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the defeat, Milwaukee are now 29-12 and 13-5 at home. They remain at #1 in the Central and stay at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference.
