CVBL: Cleveland and Utah Down to the Wire
Cleveland beat Utah 100-92 today in a great game. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Cleveland coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Utah coach Coach Young will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Cleveland was led by Reeve (26 points, 20 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Smith (24 points, 3 steals), Fanny (9 points, 2 steals). Utah was led by Henderson (21 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, 5 blocks), Jackson (8 points, 15 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals), Fraser (12 points, 3 steals).
Cleveland improve to 21-21 and 12-7 at home after the victory. They remain at #4 in the Central and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Utah fall to 20-21. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and stay at #9 overall in the Western Conference.
