CVBL: Houston Does What it Takes to Stun Sacramento 98-75

Houston got just enough breaks to upset Sacramento, 98-75. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Sacramento, showing who was the better team. But Houston came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.

"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged Houston coach Bob. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Lewis really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."

Houston was led by Lewis (23 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Sims (9 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Banks (15 points, a block). Sacramento was led by Gilliam (23 points, a steal, a block), Stanford (8 points, 13 boards, 1 assists), Bravo (13 points, 1 assists).

Houston jump to 31-11 and 21-2 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference. Sacramento are now 34-8. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference.
