CVBL: Boston 107, New York 90 in Upset Win

Knott's great game led Boston to a 107-90 upset of New York. "He really gave us the win," said winning coach Bob. "I think the rest of the team really felt intimidated coming in, but Knott showed them that we could pull off the win. You could really see the confidence build as time went on."

Gause paced New York, but his effort was not enough. "It's easy to blame the star when we come up short," said New York coach Bob. "But really, if we all played like him we'd have won. It's just that we sometimes take him for granted and sit around watching him dominate. Today's game served as a wake-up call for the rest of the team."

Boston was led by Knott (28 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, 5 blocks), Manly (19 points, 0 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Mcneil (8 points). New York was led by Gause (17 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Davis (17 points, 1 assists, a block), Adkins (16 points, 3 assists).

Boston improve to 18-23 and 10-12 at home with the victory. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and stay at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, New York stand at 21-23. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
