CVBL: Orlando Downs Brooklyn

Orlando overpowered Brooklyn today, showing who is the better team. Most around the league expected this kind of result, but Brooklyn head coach Bob was defiant until game time. "Underdogs, my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work ahead of us before we can play at their level."

The only bright point for Brooklyn was the great play by Walston, and Bob was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd have been able to play with Orlando. The bright side is that we know what he can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."

Orlando was led by Davis (21 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, a block), Free (25 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Smith (9 points, 2 steals). Brooklyn was led by Walston (20 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Jobe (10 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Ross (5 points, 3 assists, a steal).

Orlando jump to 28-14 and 18-3 at home with this victory. They stay at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Brooklyn fall to 13-29. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and remain at #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
