CVBL: Miami Defeats Oklahoma Cty 118-115
Torres led Miami to victory today over Oklahoma Cty in a 118-115 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Torres made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Miami coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Oklahoma Cty were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Torres and getting the win today."
Miami was led by Torres (5 points, 14 assists, 4 steals), Perry (12 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a block), Dupree (18 points, 1 assists, a steal). Oklahoma Cty was led by Madison (30 points, 8 boards, 0 assists), Dillard (20 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Wilson (14 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks).
Miami extended their winning streak 8 games and are now 28-14 and 14-6 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. Oklahoma Cty drop to 16-27. They fall to #4 in the Northwest and drop to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
