CVBL: Denver Surprises LA Clippers

A series of mistakes by LA Clippers gave Denver the 87-77 upset. "We just lost our focus," said LA Clippers coach Bob. "Frankly, they were overmatched and they knew it. We did what we wanted for most of the game, but just blew it. What a tough way to go. You have to give them credit - they stuck around against a tougher opponent and were in position to take advantage when we gave them freebies."

Denver was led by Phillips (15 points, 21 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Houchin (9 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, 4 steals), White (16 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block). LA Clippers was led by Brown (30 points, 16 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Patrick (14 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block), Hayes (12 points, 2 blocks).

Denver are now 27-17 after today's win. They hold at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. LA Clippers stand at 30-12 and 16-8 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference.
