"I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Schmidt made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."

Dallas coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Sacramento were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Schmidt and getting the win today."

Dallas improve to 24-20. They advance to #2 in the Southwest and advance to #7 overall in the Western Conference. Sacramento stand at 20-25 and 12-10 at home after the defeat. They drop to #4 in the Pacific and move down to #14 overall in the Western Conference.
