CVBL: Washington Beats Orlando in Blowout

Not that anybody expected today's Washington-Orlando matchup to be terribly competitive, but this was almost comical. The 113-86 final score was enough of a headline, but the game wasn't even as close as that score indicated as Washington coach Bob played it conservative most of the game to avoid running up the score too much. "Boy, it's great to see our offense click like that," he said. "It's like a gourmet restaurant - everything on the menu looked good." Said losing coach Bob, "We were just outclassed, no question. We don't have the talent they do, and we weren't as prepared coming in. And it was definitely classy of Bob to pull his key players halfway through the game."

Washington was led by White (9 points, 10 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Farlough (12 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Gavagan (14 points, 2 assists, a block). Orlando was led by Rausch (13 points, 13 boards, 2 assists), Archie (5 points, 8 assists, 3 steals), Small (11 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a block).

Washington snapped their losing streak at 6 games, and stand at 16-26 and 12-9 at home. They hold at #5 in the Southeast and hold at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the loss, Orlando drop to 23-21. They remain at #3 in the Southeast and hold at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
