CVBL: Minnesota Storms Past Oklahoma Cty

Anytime Minnesota square off with Oklahoma Cty, unexpected things happen. Today it was Oklahoma Cty head coach Bob who gave Minnesota bulletin-board material and ended up eating crow, thanks to some ill-timed comments he made earlier in the day. Two hours before game-time, Bob said that "Minnesota shouldn't even show up tonight. We're pumped, we're on a hot streak, and we're just better. We're gonna win so big Minnesota might never recover." After the game, the only one from Minnesota to speak was head coach Bob, who said simply, "Scoreboard, baby." Final score: Minnesota 124, Oklahoma Cty 99.

Minnesota was led by Daniels (16 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Mcneal (18 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a block), Jensen (27 points). Oklahoma Cty was led by Exton (8 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Bell (10 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals), Hodges (13 points, 3 assists).

Minnesota improve to 31-12 and 16-6 at home. They stay at #1 in the Northwest and hold at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Oklahoma Cty are now 26-19 with the defeat. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
