CVBL: San Antonio Beats Dallas 108-100
San Antonio star Gonzalez led his team to a win today in a key game against Dallas. Although standings were at stake, the game was as much about bragging rights as anything. The teams have a long history against each other that began when coaches Bob and Bob traded insults after an apparently intentional injury to one of Bob's players. Although Bob has long denied that there was any malicious intent, San Antonio fans don't believe it and turn out in large numbers whenever Dallas comes to town.
San Antonio was led by Gonzalez (23 points, 9 boards, 0 assists), Lynch (18 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Owens (16 points, 2 blocks). Dallas was led by Bond (5 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Mcghee (8 points, 8 assists, 2 steals), Langley (8 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, a block).
With today's victory, San Antonio are now 23-20 and 15-6 at home. They improve to #2 in the Southwest and move up to #8 overall in the Western Conference. After the loss, Dallas stand at 24-21. They move down to #3 in the Southwest and fall to #9 overall in the Western Conference.
