CVBL: Houston Blows Past Memphis 115-79

Lots of preparation paid off this evening, as Houston blew past Memphis 115-79. "Coach did a great job for this one," said Houston star Thompson. "He really studied Memphis, figured out their tendencies, and gave us one heck of a game plan. I think we're almost getting spoiled with his great work - every game we go out there knowing exactly what our opponent is going to try. We don't always get blowouts like this, but we are always the better-prepared team."

Houston was led by Thompson (21 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a block), Vigil (12 points, 5 steals), Miller (5 points, 10 assists, 2 steals). Memphis was led by Atkins (23 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Maxwell (18 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Smith (9 points, 2 blocks).

After today's win, Houston stand at 33-9 and 22-1 at home. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Memphis drop to 20-24. They stay at #5 in the Southwest and drop to #13 overall in the Western Conference.
