CVBL: Minnesota Over Toronto

Jaramillo continues to dominate the league and helped Minnesota post an expected win over Toronto, 119-110. The game was a solid team effort, but Jaramillo - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by Toronto key player, Plungis.

Jaramillo's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Minnesota fans everywhere." Toronto coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Jaramillo is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Plungis certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."

Minnesota was led by Jaramillo (14 points, 19 boards, 2 assists, a block), Davis (29 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Files (25 points, 9 boards, 1 assists). Toronto was led by Plungis (16 points, 17 boards, 3 assists, 7 blocks), Whitaker (31 points, a steal, a block), Conley (22 points, 5 boards, 2 assists).

Minnesota are now 35-9 and 22-3 at home with this victory. They stay at #1 in the Northwest and stay at #2 overall in the Western Conference. With this loss, Toronto stand at 25-20. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
