CVBL: Denver Cruises Past Atlanta

Denver served notice that their time has come, thanks to an impressive 96-79 win over Atlanta. "I think a lot of people have overlooked us," said Coach Bob after the game. "Maybe with this game and a few more quality wins, the rest of the league will start to take notice." Atlanta certainly took notice today, as losing coach Bob said "We really expected to put on a better game than this. But Denver were just too good."

Denver was led by Davis (17 points, 18 boards, 2 assists, 3 steals), Chopp (10 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), White (14 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a block). Atlanta was led by Mcnair (21 points, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Jackson (8 points, 7 boards, 2 assists), Worrel (7 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal).

Denver improve to 21-23 and 15-10 at home with the victory. They hold at #5 in the Northwest and remain at #10 overall in the Western Conference. Atlanta keep stumbling with a losing streak of 5 games and drop to 26-20. They hold at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
