Chicago coach Bob could not be located after the game, and there was an unconfirmed report that he could be done with Chicago. Rumors are that another loss to hated Memphis could be the end of the line for the coach. Fans and players are beginning to get fed up, especially with losses in big games like today's. We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Memphis was led by Demmy (12 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Thomas (12 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Wilkins (13 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, a block). Chicago was led by Glover (19 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Mayes (18 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Darden (8 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks).

After the victory, Memphis jump to 25-20. They improve to #1 in the Southwest and advance to #3 overall in the Western Conference. With today's defeat, Chicago stand at 20-24 and 13-10 at home. They remain at #3 in the Central and drop to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
