CVBL: Toronto Does What it Takes to Stun Memphis 115-102
Bob is a believer in destiny now. After running up a $300 phone bill talking with a fortune teller he saw advertised on cable TV, his Toronto team managed to upset favored Memphis Bob-Bob.
"It was crazy. I called her up, and she knew I was the Toronto coach. She saw the whole game before it happened. She told me we needed to build our game around Bush, and that sure worked out well. She was telling me their entire gameplan, I couldn't take notes fast enough. She saw that Smith was going to have a big day for Memphis, but not to worry about him and focus on the rest of the team. The best part was she told me at the end that it was destiny for us to win this game. Destiny."
Asked what he thought about Bob's experience, Memphis coach Bob replied simply: "No comment".
Toronto was led by Bush (23 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block), Starks (12 points, 4 steals, 2 blocks), Ott (20 points, 1 assists). Memphis was led by Smith (17 points, 5 assists, a steal), Gill (12 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Ring (12 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a block).
