CVBL: Memphis Beats New Orleans

A great game plan and solid execution gave Memphis a 108-99 win over New Orleans. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Memphis coach Bob had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said New Orleans coach Bob. "Bob had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."

Memphis was led by Williams (22 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Hayes (13 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Dolly (23 points, 1 assists, a block). New Orleans was led by Ziegler (27 points, 6 boards, 1 assists), Fleming (8 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, a block), Penny (20 points).

Memphis stand at 34-10 and 18-4 at home with today's victory. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and remain at #2 overall in the Western Conference. New Orleans are now 19-24 with the defeat. They fall to #4 in the Southwest and fall to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
