CVBL: Charlotte Beats Odds and New Orleans

Bob is a believer in destiny now. After running up a $300 phone bill talking with a fortune teller he saw advertised on cable TV, his Charlotte team managed to upset favored New Orleans Bob-Bob.

"It was crazy. I called her up, and she knew I was the Charlotte coach. She saw the whole game before it happened. She told me we needed to build our game around Scroggins, and that sure worked out well. She was telling me their entire gameplan, I couldn't take notes fast enough. She saw that Gisi was going to have a big day for New Orleans, but not to worry about him and focus on the rest of the team. The best part was she told me at the end that it was destiny for us to win this game. Destiny."

Asked what he thought about Bob's experience, New Orleans coach Bob replied simply: "No comment".

Charlotte was led by Scroggins (27 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Murphy (16 points, 13 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, a block), Morse (13 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a block). New Orleans was led by Gisi (10 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Vancourt (8 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals), Lundy (15 points, a block).

Charlotte jump to 25-21 and 14-8 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the defeat, New Orleans stand at 21-21. They hold at #4 in the Southwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
