CVBL: Minnesota Escapes Miami in Overtime

Two great teams battled to a near-deadlock today, with Minnesota coming out on top over Miami, 118-116 in overtime. "You run out of superlatives for a game like this," said an exhausted Minnesota coach Bob. Indeed, neither team ever really took control, leaving fans of both sides with knots in their stomachs. The action got even more intense when the game headed into overtime, as a single great play or mistake can easily end it. Unfortunately it couldn't last forever, and Minnesota pulled off the win.

Minnesota was led by Jaramillo (21 points, 21 boards, 4 assists, 4 blocks), Files (32 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block), Davis (22 points, 1 assists, a block). Miami was led by Fenty (28 points, 22 boards, 1 assists, 7 blocks), Castro (8 points, 2 steals), Phelan (22 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block).

After this win, Minnesota improve to 36-9. They stay at #1 in the Northwest and hold at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Miami snapped their winning streak at 5 games, and are now 31-12 and 20-4 at home. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference.
