CVBL: Utah Steamrolls Dallas 114-81
Utah took Dallas to school today with a textbook-quality 114-81 beating. The game wasn't even as close as the final score, as Utah coasted for much of the game on its huge cushion. "We just floundered around like idiots out there," said Dallas star Schmidt. "Even midway through the game we knew it would take a miracle to pull out a win against Utah."
Coach Bob admitted as much early in the game when he said, "We're getting beaten up like some high-schoolers. Even when it looks like we have a chance to do something, we can't. This just isn't a pretty game, unless you're a Utah fan."
Utah was led by Patton (26 points, 2 blocks), Perkins (17 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Robinson (20 points, 1 assists). Dallas was led by Schmidt (21 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals), Garcia (14 points, 5 boards, 1 assists), Thompson (15 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block).
Utah stand at 34-10 and 20-1 at home. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and stay at #3 overall in the Western Conference. After today's defeat, Dallas stand at 19-24. They fall to #4 in the Southwest and drop to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
