Foster went on fire for 46 points, helping Brooklyn to beat Utah 104-102. "That was a really tough game to lose," said Utah coach Coach Young after the game. "We came in thinking we could beat these guys. And we really played them well. But a few too many mistakes on our part kept us from getting the 'W'." One player who definitely can't be too downcast is Smith, whose outstanding game was one of the bright points for Utah and caused some other teams to take notice.

After this victory, Brooklyn are now 24-21 and 14-10 at home. They stay at #5 in the Atlantic and stay at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Utah are now 14-32. They move down to #4 in the Northwest and drop to #13 overall in the Western Conference.
