CVBL: Orlando Upends LA Clippers

Orlando beat favored LA Clippers today 96-85, perhaps serving notice that their time has come. Said Orlando coach Bob, "It's been a bit of a struggle this season, but I think we are finally getting things turned around a bit. The players are finally picking up on some of the finer points of our system, and I think we have a bright future ahead."

This comes as poorly-timed news for LA Clippers coach Bob, whose team was blindsided by Orlando. "It's tough to prepare for a game in which your opponent plays vastly better than they ever had before," he said. "You try to pick up on tendencies and weaknesses by watching tapes, but Bob has overhauled Orlando so much that aside from the uniforms, I'd have thought it was an entirely different group of players out there."

Orlando was led by Wright (23 points, 0 assists, 2 steals, a block), Vancourt (13 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, a steal), Alex (5 points, 9 assists, 2 steals). LA Clippers was led by Brown (25 points, 16 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Hayes (5 points, 3 steals), Reese (17 points, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks).

Orlando stand at 18-27 and 13-10 at home with today's win. They stay at #4 in the Southeast and stay at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the loss, LA Clippers stand at 31-16. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
