CVBL: Detroit Comes up Big Over Boston

The fans got what they came out for, as Detroit won a seesaw 87-78 victory over Boston. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Detroit star Marko. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."

Boston coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Marko and [Boston star] Stubbs really put on a show for the fans."

Detroit was led by Marko (18 points, 5 assists, 2 blocks), Garcia (15 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Burke (10 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block). Boston was led by Stubbs (22 points), Moffett (21 points, 0 assists), Walker (10 points, 2 assists, 2 steals).

After today's victory, Detroit jump to 25-19 and 18-4 at home. They hold at #2 in the Central and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the loss, Boston stand at 28-16. They stay at #1 in the Atlantic and remain at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference.
