CVBL: Indiana Handles New York 119-105

Indiana brushed past an overmatched New York team today 119-105. Always politically correct, Indiana coach Coach Hitch stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Henderson's effort helped set the pace. New York is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."

New York coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Indiana, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."

Indiana was led by Henderson (30 points, 7 boards, 0 assists), Mccoy (16 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a block), Ortiz (5 points, 3 steals). New York was led by Dixon (16 points, 2 steals, a block), Rowe (17 points, 0 assists, a block), Ortega (13 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals, a block).

Indiana stand at 29-16 and 15-7 at home. They hold at #3 in the Central and improve to #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the loss, New York are now 18-29. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and stay at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
