CVBL: No Contest as San Antonio Stomps Portland

Portland suffered another humiliating defeat today, with the 127-101 loss to San Antonio increasing calls for coach Bob's dismissal. It's looking to be a tough season for the embattled coach, who simply hasn't brought in the level of talent or coaching required to succeed at this level. Said San Antonio star Feaster after the game, "I can't be sure who to blame, but Portland doesn't appear to be headed anywhere. Their coach hasn't brought in the kind of players he needed to, and it really didn't look like they knew what to do out there. Coach always comes up with a solid game plan for us and drills it into us, and I'm pretty sure he'd be able to do a better job than Bob is doing with Portland."

San Antonio coach Bob refused to comment on the Portland coaching situation. "It's easy to be critical from where we stand, but I don't know enough about that situation to comment. I'm just happy with how we played today. We've got a great group of players and they did a tremendous job."

San Antonio was led by Feaster (14 points, 12 boards, 3 assists), Mackey (22 points), Lanham (16 points, 10 boards, 1 assists). Portland was led by Chapple (29 points, 3 blocks), Ortega (26 points, a steal), King (6 points, a steal).

San Antonio stand at 26-20 and 18-9 at home. They hold at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #6 overall in the Western Conference. Portland have lost their last 14 games and are now 12-33. They stay at #5 in the Northwest and hold at #15 overall in the Western Conference.
