CVBL: LA Clippers Beats Utah
LA Clippers downed Utah today 80-72, thanks to a solid effort by star Brown. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Brown after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Bob echoed the sentiments, saying "Utah came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."
Utah players were disappointed after the game, and coach Coach Young had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Feaster, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."
LA Clippers was led by Brown (34 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Reese (15 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Patrick (12 points, 2 blocks). Utah was led by Feaster (17 points, 14 boards, 0 assists, a block), Patton (12 points, 11 boards, 1 assists), Smiley (6 points, 14 boards, 1 assists).
With this victory, LA Clippers are now 33-12 and 18-8 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Utah stand at 25-22. They remain at #3 in the Northwest and hold at #7 overall in the Western Conference.
