CVBL: Sacramento Beats Toronto 106-102
Canul led Sacramento to victory today over Toronto in a 106-102 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Canul made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Sacramento coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Toronto were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Canul and getting the win today."
Sacramento was led by Canul (21 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Boone (20 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, a block), Obrien (17 points, a block). Toronto was led by Plungis (19 points, 13 boards, 4 assists, 3 blocks), Whitaker (23 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, a steal, a block), Conley (21 points, a block).
Sacramento improve to 32-13 and 17-6 at home. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference. After today's loss, Toronto fall to 26-21. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
