CVBL: LA Clippers Outplays a Better Oklahoma Cty Team 118-96

A much-improved LA Clippers team pulled off the 118-96 upset of Oklahoma Cty today. "That's the best we've played all season," said LA Clippers coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."

Oklahoma Cty was caught off-guard by new-look LA Clippers. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."

LA Clippers was led by Celaya (25 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Lee (11 points, 3 steals, a block), Dolly (24 points, a block). Oklahoma Cty was led by Kimbell (23 points, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Hodges (15 points, 0 assists, 2 steals, a block), Brisco (17 points, a block).

LA Clippers are now 23-20 and 14-10 at home. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and move up to #7 overall in the Western Conference. Oklahoma Cty stand at 27-20 with this loss. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
