CVBL: LA Lakers Clobbers New Orleans

LA Lakers dominated New Orleans today, winning by a final score of 109-87. Although the score was 0-0 at the start of the game, LA Lakers quickly took charge and, aside from brief flurries of activity by New Orleans, were never really threatened. "We were schooled out there," said New Orleans coach Bob. "I mean it wasn't a blowout, but they sure were in control the entire game. [LA Lakers coach] Andreas Helmle did a great job getting his team ready for the game, and Monroe was nearly unstoppable." LA Lakers was led by Monroe (15 points, 17 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Miller (15 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Washington (10 points, 5 boards, 7 assists, a steal). New Orleans was led by Newby (18 points, 3 blocks), Vancourt (12 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a block), Buehler (10 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block).

LA Lakers extended their winning streak 7 games and jump to 33-15 and 21-7 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #3 overall in the Western Conference. New Orleans are now 22-22. They hold at #4 in the Southwest and move down to #11 overall in the Western Conference.
