CVBL: Oklahoma Cty Express Steamrolls New Orleans 107-97

The fans got what they came out for, as Oklahoma Cty won a seesaw 107-97 victory over New Orleans. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Oklahoma Cty star Golden. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."

New Orleans coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Golden and [New Orleans star] Ziegler really put on a show for the fans."

Oklahoma Cty was led by Golden (20 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Johnson (12 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a block), Stanford (20 points, 0 assists). New Orleans was led by Ziegler (15 points, 2 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Penny (18 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Fleming (14 points, a block).

Oklahoma Cty stand at 30-17 and 17-6 at home. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #6 overall in the Western Conference. New Orleans fall to 20-25. They hold at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
