CVBL: Dallas Needs Overtime to defeat Washington
Dallas survived a great Washington outing, winning 123-115 in overtime. It was supposed to have been an easy game, but Washington coach Bob had his team well-prepared and able to complete with favored Dallas. Said Hargrove, "We thought Coach's pep talk was a little far-fetched, when he was telling us that we had the talent and game plan to win this game. But he was right; we had our chances to win and didn't. Still we have to feel good about what we proved against a great team like Dallas."
Dallas coach Bob was clearly relieved to have gotten the win. "That was a great team we played against today - don't let their record fool you. I thought we played a solid game, and even that wasn't enough to win during regulation."
